Fruits and vegetables remain fresh despite global downturn


The region’s appetite for fresh fruits and vegetables has remained strong despite the global downturn.
Dubai΄s geographic position as an international hub for this important business and its
world-leading infrastructure has meant that this sector has remained fresh and full of vitality
throughout the recent economic downturn.

WOP - International Perishables Expo Middle East – Its premiere in 2009 was a successful start as the only dedicated trade fair for fresh products in the Middle East


In 2009, WOP DUBAI – International Perishables Expo Middle East – had its premiere as the only dedicated trade fair for fresh products in this region. 80 exhibitors from 18 countries participated in the new fair and presented to the 1,686 visitors their products and services from the fields of fresh goods, goods security, technical equipment, transport and trading.

Impressive is also the trade visitor structure of WOP DUBAI 2009:

This year the surface area of the show has grown by 30 per cent compared to 2009. 120 exhibitors from 18 countries offer a wide range of fruits and vegetables, goods safety, technical equipment, transport and services for the entire needs of the Middle East region. 6 country pavilions from China, Malaysia, Mexico, Egypt, Jordan and Kenya present their special products.
Leading UAE companies like Fresh Fruits Co, Unifrutti Asia, BARAKAT Group, Shokri Hassan, Jaleel, Mehtab, Nassar Rifai, Saadi, Mirak Agricultural services LLC, Abu Seedo and more join the fair.

As already in 2009 a conference alongside with WOP DUBAI 2010 with international and local speakers will cover different topics like:

IPM DUBAI – Sister event for horticultural products


IPM DUBAI – International Plants Expo – is the Middle East only dedicated trade show for the horticultural sector. This year 160 exhibitors from 20 countries will present their products. IPM DUBAI and WOP DUBAI will take place side by side at the Dubai Airport Expo.
